Please reach us at thevibestudioltd@gmail.com or via our socials if you cannot find an answer to your question
Firstly, you don't need any experience at all to join our Beginner Hoop or L1 Pole classes!
Literally, all you have to do is turn up & we'll do the rest!
All of our classes start with a thorough group warm up to ensure your body is prepared for the movements ahead. From there, we will have some conditioning exercises followed by some gorgeous shapes, spins, tricks, etc. (depending on the class you've booked!)
There are no expectations from you or your body at any point - we want you to take everything at your own pace & enjoy the journey. We recognise that every single body is different & that's great - would be boring if we were all the same!
Our instructors really pride themselves on being super friendly & helpful so any questions or queries throughout the class please ask.
We know starting aerial can be daunting but come give it a try & we promise you'll be surprised by how much you enjoy it!
Absolutely not.
This is the most common question we get asked! We don't expect anyone to walk through the doors with upper body strength already there - that's part of the fun, building it together!
By the end of your first term (8x classes) you'll honestly be amazed at the amount of strength you've built, all whilst having fun & making friends.
NO! People of all shapes & sizes can do aerial arts.
One of the wonderful things about aerial is that there are so many benefits so whether your goal is to tone up, increase your confidence, enjoy dancing, etc. we have something for you.
An hour of aerial is the same as a full body workout at the gym, except way more enjoyable!
Every single shape of body is welcome in our studio.
Not at all! No pre-requisites are required for you to start classes with us.
We have beginner classes available in both Pole & Hoop -
For Pole, we recommend starting at L1 Pole - Intro to Pole.
For Hoop, we recommend starting in our Beginner Hoop class.
For all aerial classes, we have a strictly over 18s policy in place or 16 with parental consent.
It's worth noting that we have aerialists who have started late into their 60s & up so definitely no restrictions there!
We can accommodate under 16s via 1-2-1 sessions or 2-2-1 sessions with a guardian present. Please reach out to us directly to schedule these.
Pole💜
During the warm up you can wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in, such as leggings/joggers & a loose fitting top.
Once we have completed the warm up you will require shorts & a vest or sports bra. To be safe whilst poling it is important that you have as much skin on show in order to grip the poles.
If you're feeling really nervous about taking clothes off, you're more than welcome to wear loose fitting yoga pants or something that you can roll up for the first few weeks (but, there's really no need to be nervous). After a few weeks, your confidence will have soared once you've been immersed in our confidence boosting classes! (If you're really really nervous, have a chat with your instructor as there are clothing options available that will allow you to remain covered, if you wish)
Please ensure you do not moisturise or fake tan 24 hours prior to class as this can make the poles slippery.
Hoop💜
Please wear leggings & a long sleeved top. Tighter fitted clothes are ideal to ensure your clothing doesn't get caught on the hoop, i.e. please do not wear joggers to these classes.
Layers are your friend!
Please also ensure you have a pair of socks with you.
____
For all of our classes, jewellery, such as rings, must be removed prior to class as these can damage the equipment.
Dance specific heels are permitted in all classes post warm up, if you have them. For basework/choreo specific classe,s please bring kneepads.
Don't forget to bring a water bottle with you too!
All classes should be booked through our booking system, TeamUp, which can be accessed by visiting our Book Now page. Once you've registered for an account, you can book your classes via a desktop or the app (again, details on the Book Now page).
The sooner you can book, the better, as it will minimise disappointment if the class is busy.
You must register for the class & pay prior to your arrival at the studio.
100%, infact we'd encourage you to purchase single drop in classes until you feel comfortable. Every single class we offer has a drop in option available.
Memberships will make classes cheaper but we want you to be sure before making a committment.
If you know you’re going to miss a class you can un-register your attendance on the booking site or the app up to twenty-four hours before class starts & the credit for the class will go back into your account so you can book another class.
If you don't un-register before the twenty-four hours we will be unable to provide you a credit. This is because we need to make sure we have enough students booked on to pay our wonderful instructors & if everyone un-registered last minute we would still need to pay the instructor.
We don’t grant credits after the class has been missed for any reason.
When you come up the stairs, you'll find the studios to the left, keep wandering through into the hallway.
Once you get into the hallway you can take a seat on the benches & your instructor will come out to get you ready for class (toilet in the hallway too should you want to get changed, etc.)
If you're new to class, your instructor will know - they'll come over to say hi, introduce themselves & have a little chat💜
Stripper shoes or boots (such as Pleasers or Hella Heels) can be worn in any of our classes post warm up, however, there is no expectation for you to wear them.
If you have them & want to wear them bring them along but if not socks are perfectly fine. We want you to feel comfortable.
From time to time we offer workshops focusing on heel technique - for these classes we do recommend shoes/boots to get the most out of the sessions but this will be clearly mentioned in the workshop description.
Yes, we do!
You have the option of booking 1-2-1s or 2-2-1s if you'd like a friend/family member to join you!
It's recommended that you reach out to us first to discuss a date & time that is most suitable so we can be sure to accommodate you. We'll also be able to pair you with the most appropriate instructor too.
Each instructor sets their own pricing for these sessions, they range from £30ph-£45ph currently.
Yes! However, it is limited. We kindly ask that you park in the Unit 5 spots or next to the metal fencing running down the side of the business park. Please don't block in our neighbour's - some of the other businesses on the business park work 24/7 & we'd rather you block in our members than risk being blocked in by another business!
Unit 5 is the very end unit.
If you have a need to rent a studio space please reach out to us directly via email & let us know the dates & we will confirm availability & rates!
